Bits & Pieces (6/21/12)

  • Steve Saint Shares – Steve Saint, son of Nate Saint who was killed with Jim Elliot in Ecuador, was recently involved in a tragic accident that has left him paralyzed (hopefully temporarily). Read Randy Alcorn’s post and listen to Steve Saint’s words from the hospital and be encouraged.

  • Choosing One Thing – Becoming distracted is not difficult for us. That’s why it is important that we are firm about what our priority is.

  • Prodigal Children – This is an interesting article that reminds us that if a child comes to faith ” it is a grace, not a gimmick” and rather than comparing our “successes” we need to ask whether we are parenting faithfully.

  • Reclaiming the Christian Intellectual Tradition – If you, or your student, are busy pursuing a college degree, this looks like an interesting series of books to consider. David Dockery of Union University is the editor and the books look at the Christian tradition of serious thinking and how it pertains to a variety of disciplines.
